Description
Do we deny the things that exist that we cannot prove, disprove, see, touch, or feel? Is it a choice of good and evil, right and wrong, the strength of character of the weak or the strong, or the mere marginalization for the violation of a policy, process, or procedure?
Matthew Fox said, “Evil is the shadow of angel. Just as there are angels of light, support, guidance, healing and defense, so we have experiences of shadow angels. And we have names for them: racism, sexism, homophobia are all demons – but they’re not out there.”
Will you look past accomplishments based on what you see; or, will what you see, change your mind in how you treat people?
Oprah Winfrey said, “I was raised to believe that excellence is the best deterrent to racism or sexism. And that’s how I operate my life.”
Does sexism have a color or a gender? Or, is sexism often disguised under the color of something that it is not? Are men only sexist? Or, can women be sexist? Or, does the truth in the answer belong to the one with the loudest voice?
Warren Ferrell said, “When women criticized men, I called it ‘insight”… When men criticized women, I called it ‘sexism’ and ‘backlash.”
Success may depend upon the color of your perceptions, opinions, and realities. What do they look like?
